My name is Ryan Forrest, young painter from Austin, TX.
Painting in oils began late-August 2009.
Contextually, my work is influenced by the great authors that have informed my limited understanding of this world of ours.
As far as brushplay, my style aspires to an early Italian Baroque and the best of the Neo-Classicists,
Ministering form and content to live happily ever after.  Amen.
My discipline rests on tact and technique;
an effort not to overcome my contemporaries,
but always to surpass personal limitations,
composition, color selection, shading, profundity of subject matter--
an effort to buttress the weight of ironic terrestrial experience, Her Sovereignty, with due reverence.
I pledge allegiance to the tragicomedy of Life, no other, as my sole model of reference.
Bolstered by a large and growing body of work,
I am a voice for those that will listen, and
work on daily.
